Redline Industries Inc. also has the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors “NB” Stamp and "R" Stamp ( a.k.a. NB Mark, and National Board R Symbol Stamp ), allowing the repair and alteration of all ASME code boilers and pressure vessels.
Obtaining ASME Code Stamp and NB Stamp & NB R Stamp...
Obtaining and continued use of an ASME code stamp and a National Board code stamp, mark, or symbol requires certification of each welder, documentation of material, and acceptance of the finished product by the Quality Control Manager and the Authorized ASME Inspector. Each manufactured ASME product, once accepted, will have a nameplate attached to it with the ASME information and the required “U” stamp. ASME Certified Boiler and Pressure Vessels, when repaired, will have the required National Board “R” Stamp, or R Symbol attached.
ASME Code Manufacturing Documentation Requirement...
The ASME U Stamp Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requires all materials used in ASME code manufacturing be documented. A mill test report must be supplied with the vessel document package showing the heat number and the material specification, which describes the chemical analysis and physical properties of the steel.
Authorized ASME Inspector Requirement...
Redline Industries Inc. contracts the services of Bureau Vertias to furnish the Authorized ASME Inspector, who is the authority of code acceptability and has jurisdiction over all ASME code phases of manufacture, repair and alteration of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessels. The ASME Authorized Inspector is authorized to suspend ASME manufacturing at any time, or to request that ASME code imperfections be corrected.
